When you attempt it, the reflection that peers back at you is covered in shimmery sparkles on every part of your face and as for your liquid liner eeeeek...shakey, uneven liquid lines. Here are a few wee tips so you too can apply X-factor makeup that is perfectly polished for your party peepers.
Above is a gorgeous smouldery eye that was applied with normal shimmer eye shadows in bronze, charcoals and a touch of dark green. To create the party peeper with sparkels, add Duo eye lash glue (actually any brand that dries clear) right across the entire movable lid and blend slightly past your contour line. Either with a slightly damp brush or finger, dip into your chosen glitter tone you want to apply (in this case above its the silver), and press the glitter into the eyelash glue while it is still slightly damp. Blend it around where you need it, once the glue has dried you will not have any glittery fall out all over your face and it dries non tacky so is completely comfy to wear.
Here is a clever wee tape trick that can be used when you are just not quite nailing the cat-eyed liner look.
We often use paper tape from the chemist as it molds easily to the skin but if you are short on cash, use your cellotape and de tack it on the back of your hand first so it is not to sticky around deleicate skin. This is a great technique for the bat winged eyeshadow too! you get a lovely clean strong line.
Rest your elbow on a table as you apply liner to keep your arm and hand steady :-)
Enjoy trying out some fun party techniques :-)
