Tauriel's makeup application process, step by step
For those of you avid Hobbit fans, I was Evangeline Lilly's (whom plays Tauriel in Hobbit #2 and #3) Personal makeup, hair and prosthetic artist. I have been asked umpteen times what particular products I used for Tauriel's look so I decided I would give you the run down. Have a go and send me any images to hil@hilcook.co.nz good luck

Tauriels list of products...
Hour glass primer - Oil free. A lovely clear primer that gives the slickest of finishes ready to apply your foundation
Ellis Faas #4 foundation - A beautiful illuminating foundation that is build-able and my all time favourite foundation on the planet!!!
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat #2- radiant touch pen used for highlighting and light reflecting. Pretty much this product is photoshop in a pen. Highlight brow bones, along the nose, top of cheeks, top lip, centre chin and highest point on forehead. Light reflect under eyes.
Nars Eye Primer - Complete smudge proof eyeshadow base, in fact I have never come across a better one to date
Mac Paint pot, colour Ground Works - Beautiful cream based eyeshadow that is crease resistant and has great staying power. Added across the movable eyelid and blended.
Mac Paint Pot, Colour Quite Natural - This was used along the top of Tauriels top and bottom lash line and a light eye contour blended out.
Mac Paint Pot, Colour Bare Study - An all time fave of mine used in the inner corner of Tauriels inner eye coner for 'inner pop'
Chantecaille Black Mascara - Supreme cils Long wearing water resistant. Used only on Tauriel's Top Lashes. This is a very silky mascara that gives a really natural look but really enhances lashes. Less is more for an elf
Chantecaille Bronzer blush colour Capri- a beautiful natural coral rust toned blush/bronzer with such finely milled minerals in it that it gives just a stunning gleam on her cheek
